Job Responsibility
The primary role of the Network System Administrator is to perform effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of LAN and WAN hardware and software and related infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls).
LAN/WAN administrator needs solid technical skills and experience with a variety of network protocols, software and hardware involved in LAN and WAN operations.
The position requires strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills along with good communication abilities. In addition, company may require the individual to be on call 12/7 in case of network failures or emergencies. He/she also ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactive monitoring of overall network health, so possible issues can be addressed before problems arise.
